A long-term patient of our Spinal Injury Unit, with high level quadriplegia, was able to continue connecting with his family and friends when a new iPad was funded for him by donors.
Our Spinal Injury Unit accepts patients from Sydney all the way up to the Queensland border, so rural family and friends are not able to easily visit some of our patients, especially those who stay at Royal Rehab for months. Being able to rely on an iPad to keep in touch with family and friends makes a significant difference in so many positive ways. This particular client’s iPad broke and his family had no disposable income to repair or replace it.
