A senior physiotherapist was successful in her grant application on behalf of a long-term client of our Spinal Injury Unit. Thanks to her, this client has been given travel vouchers so he can return to Royal Rehab for his power wheelchair fitting appointment.
Owing to falling off a ladder whilst building his dream home, this patient was admitted to our unit for rehabilitation. The fall resulted in a permanent disability and he is now unable to complete the house himself. After a significant stay in our unit, this client was discharged home with a hired power wheelchair and will now be able to return to us for the set-up of his purchased power wheelchair, thanks to the foundation's support through travel vouchers.
