This is just the sort of early birthday present Carlos greatly needed and wanted—a home trainer!
Carlos was a patient of our Brain Injury Unit following a serious cycling accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury. With the generous help of our donors and a significant discount from 99 Bikes at Castle Hill, Carlos is now able to safely and more easily exercise at home.
Owing to his brain injury Carlos is unable to drive or work so this trainer is not only providing him with physical rehabilitation but also psychological benefits. This is the same trainer Carlos was using prior to his injury and is "giving him hope and the means to realise his dream", said Carlos' physiotherapist.
